President Message

Malaysia is one of the earliest investors in Cambodia. With a strong footprint of more than 3 decades in Cambodia, we are very proud that Malaysian investments are among the largest investors for some years, with official data showing that from 1994 to 2001, Malaysian investments comprised nearly a third of all investments and nearly 80% of total Asean investments in Cambodia.

More importantly, Malaysian businesses are well diversified across Cambodia in important sectors like Banking, Telecom, Energy, Hospitality, Infrastructure, Construction, Retails and Manufacturing etc.

Little wonder, Malaysian companies have been playing a dominant influence in Cambodia’s economic landscape, which over the past 3 decades have contributed to the economic growth and helped honed Cambodian talents for various industries and sectors.

MBCC is one of the oldest business associations in Cambodia, with a mission to provide services to our members: useful information and insights, business promotion and development, engagement with high-level government officials, business networking and events and ESG initiatives.

By joining MBCC, you will be able to grow and expand your business in Cambodia via networking events with the business community from all around the world, as well as high-level government officials.

WHO WE ARE

About MBCC

The Malaysian Business Chambers of Cambodia has its roots planted in February 1993 when the Malaysian Ambassador back then, H.E. Mohd Deva initiated the first meeting of representatives of Malaysian businesses operating in Cambodia at his official residence. Subsequently, a Malaysia Club was founded. Teh Sing was elected as the first President and the club focused on social events – celebrating Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali, and Merdeka functions as a way to get together Malaysians living in Cambodia.

The Malaysian Business Chamber of Cambodia (formerly known as Malaysian Business Council of Cambodia) is one of the first and the leading business association in Cambodia, a collective of Malaysian corporate companies, Joint Ventures, and small individual Malaysian companies. The primary function of the organization is to support the development of the Malaysian business community and Malaysian investment in Cambodia, as well as to serve as a representative of the Malaysian business community, working towards a healthier business climate and economic growth.

We serve as an information resource center for our members, providing an array of pertinent information and business networking opportunities to our members.
